Catchpit Chambers provide an essential first line of defence within surface water drainage systems by capturing silt, sediment and debris before it enters downstream drainage infrastructure. Widely used in Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS), attenuation tanks, geocellular storage systems and stormwater management networks, catchpit chambers help improve water quality, reduce maintenance requirements and protect critical drainage assets from blockage and premature failure.
Designed to intercept contaminants at source, catchpit chambers support effective surface water management by preventing the build-up of sediment within pipes, flow control chambers, attenuation systems and underground stormwater storage tanks. Their use can significantly reduce long-term maintenance costs whilst improving the hydraulic performance and operational efficiency of drainage networks.
