Environmental Headwall Stainless Steel Mesh Baskets
Controflow Environmental Headwall SuDS Baskets are an ideal addition to any SuDS green infrastructure to manage the discharge of stormwater into or out of suds ponds and swales whilst providing a natural aesthetic, habitat protection and erosion control.
Conventional drainage structures – such as gully pots, gratings, inspection chambers and pipe conveyance systems – trap and prevent the escape of small rodents, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Controflow inlet and outlet baskets reduce the risk of wildlife mortality dramatically.
Controflow Environmental Headwall SuDS Baskets are manufactured in stainless steel mesh for filling with stone and act as attractive inlets or outlets that protect pipe openings and flow control orifices, or as erosion control to enable gentle water flows down slopes.

Stainless Steel Erosion Control Basket 600x600x150mm

A universal stainless steel mesh SuDS basket designed to be filled with 80-150mm stone that prevents erosion of soil profiles where outfalls deliver water down slopes from SuDS features. The shallow basket (150mm deep) is laid dry onto subsoil with a geotextile surround to each basket to prevent erosion of soil. The surface face is left open to allow water to flow in the basket or for vegetation cover.

It diffuses inbound and outbound flows, and conceals and protects the pipe. It has a hinged lid for access and is designed to be filled with 80mm - 150mm stone. The pipe exit location is flexible but should avoid the box hinge.

Buy What You Need
An additional turnkey service we offer, is to compliment the purchase of your stainless steel mesh basket with the purchase of the 80-150mm gabion stone to fill it.
We can provide you with the exact amount of gabion stone you require to fill your basket. A far simpler option than buying a minimum tonnage from a quarry, having it tipped on site, then being left with a pile of surplus stone.
The gabion stone will be delivered to site with your mesh basket(s) in easy to handle bulk bags.
